Four members of the Abernethy Laurels Sit 'n Knit group recently met with Newton Police Chief Don Brown to donate knitted teddy bears for the Police Department to distribute to battered women and their children.

Holly Rudisill, RN-BC, BSN, Staff Development Coordinator and employee health nurse, to Home Care Director for Laurels at Home, Abernethy Laurels' home health care agency;
Jennifer Carpenter, RN, to Staff Development Coordinator and employee health nurse.

Abernethy Laurels, a continuing care retirement community located on Highway 16 South will be a host site for the American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, November 23rd from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The blood drive will take place in the Community Center.
