Abernethy Laurels is a continuing care retirement community located in Newton, NC.
For May, our residents' council chose two employees for its monthly award! CNA Crystal Coley was recognized by the group, and so was Serena Ruden, activity coordinator. Crystal works on Peace Court. She’s very caring and compassionate and always has a smile. Serena started out in food services before transitioning to the activities department. She’s very creative and has a lot of energy. In fact, residents refer to her as the energizer bunny! On Sunday, #NationalNursesWeek came to a close, and we made sure our Abernethy nurses know how much they're appreciated! Our team enjoyed celebrating last week with a variety of treats, a catered Italian meal, games, and gifts.
