Resident Poem: Hugs

May 22, 2020

“A Hug” by Marilyn Baird

We all know that a hug is good for the soul, but now, so I’ve been told hugging is put on hold!  So what are we to do? Hugging is natural for me and you and probably most other people too.  I’ll try to put it into words … air hugs are for the birds … shaping hearts with our hands has a great many fans.  There are many ways to send our love, but frankly, I don’t like any of the above.  Oh well, there’s no use to sit and pout. We’ll just have to wait this thing out.  But when this virus things is done –

Let’s get together and have some fun!!

PS … You might want to avoid me, because I’m going on a hugging spree!!
