Abernethy Laurels to Offer Resources for Older Adults
March 7, 2018
Abernethy Laurels will host their annual Business Expo and Health Fair on Wednesday, March 21 from 9am-1pm. The event will be held in the Community Center of Abernethy Laurels. Answers to questions that seniors and their caregivers are seeking as well as helpful tips to keep seniors active, healthy, and independent will be the focus of the event.
Admission is free and guests are welcome to come for all or a portion of the four hour time span. Nearly 100 service providers will have informational booths that explain their services, such as medical and non-medical in-home care, independent and assisted-living, medical supplies and services, legal and financial resources, different types of insurances, personal safety, end-of-life planning, educational opportunities, fitness, recreational programming and more! In addition to the numerous vendors, several health screenings will be available at no cost.
"Our 6th Annual Business Expo and Health Fair will offer many great resources for everyone, especially those 50 years of age and older," said Greg Rossidivito, Director of Life Enrichment and event organizer. "Local citizens are sometimes unaware of the many resources available in our area. The expo is a convenient way to gain information and to get answers to questions all in one location. We are also excited to bring a variety of free health information to our guests. ”
