Compliance Program Promotes High Ethical Standards
October 17, 2019
Keeping up its tradition of encouraging employees to follow the highest of standards, United Church Homes and Services (UCHS) announced that it will be recognizing National Corporate Compliance and Ethics Week, November 3-9, 2019. The UCHS compliance program promotes high ethical standards, enforces government rules and regulations, and keeps risk management at the forefront of all employees.
Employees from each of four UCHS communities submitted names of their peers who deserve special recognition for their personal commitment to high ethical standards and show support of the UCHS Compliance and Ethics Program. These employees were recognized and awarded for their exceptional commitment to the organization’s ethical standards.
Awards were presented to:
Abernethy Laurels (Newton, NC)
Piedmont Crossing (Thomasville, NC)
Lake Prince Woods
“Each year UCHS evaluates the effectiveness our Compliance and Ethics Program, which we first implemented in 2001. The feedback we receive from our employees is an important part of the evaluation process. When employees respond to the compliance questionnaire each year, they also submit the names of individuals they believe should receive special recognition for their personal commitment to ethical behavior in the workplace. The commitment of employees who receive recognition each year is vital in promoting a culture of high ethical standards throughout UCHS,” shared Steve Paterson, Chief Quality and Compliance Officer.
